Privacy Policy

Our Commitment

Orbit is designed with privacy at its core. We believe your relationships are deeply personal, and the data about them should stay entirely in your hands. Orbit stores your data on your device and, when iCloud Drive is available, syncs it through your private iCloud container. Beyond Tomorrow Studios cannot access that container or its contents.

Data We Collect

Beyond Tomorrow Studios collects none of your personal data. Orbit has no developer-operated backend, account system, analytics, advertising, or tracking. The app uses Apple iCloud Drive to sync Orbit data privately between devices signed into your Apple Account, and Apple MapKit to return place suggestions when you type in the meeting-location field.

Data Stored on Your Device

Orbit stores the following information locally on your device to provide its core functionality:

This data is stored using your device's built-in storage. When iCloud Drive is available, the same data may also be stored in Orbit's private iCloud container so it can stay in sync across your Apple devices. Beyond Tomorrow Studios cannot view or retrieve it.

Private iCloud Sync

Orbit uses Apple's iCloud Drive service to sync relationship details, interaction history, notes, reminders, settings, and attached photos between devices signed into your Apple Account. This sync is handled by Apple using Orbit's private iCloud container. It is not sent to or stored on servers operated by Beyond Tomorrow Studios, and we cannot access it. If iCloud Drive is unavailable, Orbit continues to work using local device storage.

No User Accounts

Orbit does not require or support user accounts. There is no sign-up, no login, no email address collected, and no authentication of any kind. You open the app and start using it immediately.

Contacts Access

Orbit may request permission to access your device's contact list. This access is used solely to let you select people to add to Orbit. Imported relationship data becomes part of your Orbit data and may sync through your private iCloud container. It is never transmitted to Beyond Tomorrow Studios. You can deny this permission and still use the app by adding people manually.

Notifications

Orbit may request permission to send you notifications. All notifications are scheduled and triggered locally on your device. There is no push notification server involved. Notifications are used solely to remind you about relationships that may need your attention.

Camera and Photos

Orbit may request access to your camera or photo library to let you attach photos to interaction logs or set profile images for your contacts. Selected photos are stored by Orbit on your device and may sync through your private iCloud container. They are not accessible to Beyond Tomorrow Studios.

Home Screen Widgets

Orbit includes optional home screen widgets that display relationship information. Widget data is shared between the app and the widget extension using a local app group container on your device.

Analytics and Tracking

Orbit does not use any analytics services, tracking pixels, advertising identifiers, crash reporting tools, or any other form of data collection. We have no way to know how you use the app, how often you open it, or what data you put into it.

Third-Party Services

Orbit uses two Apple services: iCloud Drive for private cross-device sync and MapKit for place suggestions. A place search sends the text you type to Apple's MapKit service. Orbit does not include third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash-reporting SDKs.

Data Sharing

Beyond Tomorrow Studios does not share your data because we do not have access to it. Apple processes iCloud and MapKit data under its own privacy policy.

Data Deletion

You can delete individual people and memories inside Orbit. Deleting the app removes its local data from that device, but synced data may remain in your private iCloud storage and may return if Orbit is reinstalled. You can remove Orbit's iCloud data through your Apple Account's iCloud storage settings. There is no Orbit account or developer-operated server to delete.

Children's Privacy

Orbit does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Since the app collects no data at all, it is compliant with COPPA and similar regulations.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated date.
